the forest is the therapist, the guide just opens the doors…

What is forest bathing?

A forest bathing walk is an opportunity to set aside the busy-ness of life, give your thinking mind a break and experience being in your body with the forest. Through simple and sensory invitations, our certified forest therapy guide will open the doors to the restorative nature of the forest.

What to expect on a forest bathing walk…

We’ll spend up to 3 hours in the forest. We will not be hiking or covering a lot of ground. We will be moving in “forest time” (very slowly and sometimes not at all).

It’s best to wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and to dress warmer than you think you need to. There is no skill level required for this experience.

Your guide will offer a series of open, sensory invitations meant to slow you down and help you connect with the more-than-human-world around you.

Ways to experience forest bathing with The Restorative Willow…

Join us on a scheduled public walk, where you will join other folks who are looking to explore a deeper connection with nature

Are you looking to deepen your connection to the place you live?

Consider scheduling a private forest bathing walk on your own property, where your certified guide will open the doors to completely transform the way you interact with the space around you.

Remote Forest Bathing

Do you live in an area without a guide? Maybe you experience limited mobility or you are just not comfortable being in unknown outdoor spaces? With a remote walk, you will join a guide over the phone from the comfort of your own home, porch, garden, yard or favorite nearby park. You will be guided through a sensory experience from a distance.

Indoor Forest Bathing

We have special programming meant to bring the outdoors in for special populations, such as those residing in assisted living centers and nursing homes.
